    FMP Consulting is currently seeking a Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist:

    One of FMPs largest clients utilizes a robust staffing program that maintains rich datasets with the potential to transform how leaders make decisions about federal hiring government wide. FMP is seeking a Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist who can work as part of a mature scrum team to develop data products and provide training and consulting services to agency customers.

    The Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist will:
    • Translate customer requirements for data products into technical specifications
    • Develop custom reports using a business intelligence tool (e.g. Cognos, Tableau) for customer use
    • Create training and knowledge sharing resources to educate customer agencies on the value and use of data
    • Work with the client program office to identify research questions
    • Conduct advanced government-wide data analyses of Federal HR data
    • Communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate data visualization, written, and oral communication
    Qualifications

    Experience required:
    • 5-7 years of experience engaged in business intelligence projects as a report developer/analyst
    • Experience conducting descriptive and inferential analyses for large programs
    • Experience with SQL
    • Data visualization experience using statistical software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Excel) or open source libraries (i.e. R, D3)
    • Experience working in an Agile environment working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products
    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (orally and in written form)
    • Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational barriers to accomplish high priority and high visibility goals
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) per Scrum Alliance preferred
    • Demonstrated skill in:
      • Effective communication (oral and written)
      • Being attentive to detail
      • Developing positive, professional relationships
      • Report writing and document preparation
      • Using Microsoft Office Applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
      • Problem solving; analysis; critical thinking
      • Balancing multiple priorities and tasks
