- Prepares and reviews plans, estimates and specifications for IAIS projects.
- Assists with the management of the IAIS Bridge Management Plan, bridge inspections, plans, and construction.
- Assists with property leases, land sales, and joint facilities.
- Assists in the development of the MOW operating budget and prepare cost estimates.
- Prepares engineering reports and other related work as required.
- 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience is preferred, but new Engineering graduates will be considered.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge in aspects of construction and design would be beneficial.
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid drivers license, and be insurable under IAISs commercial auto policy throughout IAIS employment.
- Salary to commensurate experience; starting between $90,000 - $100,000 per year. Relocation package considered.

We are looking for a Bridge & Projects Engineer. This entry level role provides support for the Engineering, Operating, and Marketing Departments in the development of new business plans. As a Bridge & Projects Engineer, your tasks will include working with one of our P.E.s in the design and engineering of new projects on our railroad. This is a full-time on-site role headquarted in Cedar Rapids, IA.
