    Senior Specialist Total Rewards, North America

    Summary / purpose of the position

    To administer and review employee compensation and benefits in the US & Canada. To contribute to the design and continuous improvement of total rewards processes and programs.

    Main responsibilities / job expectations

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Administer and support employee benefits programs and related procedures to ensure successful adoption and compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Mediate between benefits providers and employees, by assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions, researching benefits issues and work closely with brokers to resolve benefits issues.
  • Recommend process improvements in support of strategic initiatives or as triggered by changes to regulation, technology, or business needs, automating and simplifying these wherever possible.
  • Audit vendor service level agreements and recommend improvements to service and contract enhancements.
  • Manage benefits compliance calendar and maintain required plan documents. Responsible for external and internal benefits compliance testing, reporting, filings, notices, disclosures, etc. including adjustments to HCEs and communications related to compliance.
  • Maintain and update plan documents and policies to ensure compliance with external regulations and internal business ethics requirements.
  • Leads annual recurrent projects locally in North America such as benefits annual enrollment, Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) plan and 401(k) plan.
  • Support market competitive analysis, including data submission to external survey providers on total rewards policies and practices.
  • Support disability claims and leaves of absence for the US. Partner with external vendors, HRBPs, People services and Payroll to ensure cases are monitored, tracked and employees are paid properly. Respond to employee queries and manage escalations with vendors.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 2 - 3 years of human resources experience
  • Benefits or rewards experience a plusExperience:
  • Understanding of the benefits concepts and principles.
  • Performs complex tasks and has some latitude for determining appropriate processes to follow.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, policies, or procedures.Languages:

  • Travel Requirements: 10% The annual base salary range for this position is $71,250 - $104,500. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program. The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting.
