Our central Iowa-based client is seeking a

Senior Process Engineer

with a strong background in manufacturing to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for identifying areas of inefficiency and cost within our manufacturing and production processes and implementing innovative solutions to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve overall performance
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to drive process improvement initiatives
Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
Lead and support continuous improvement projects, ensuring timely implementation and sustainable results
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and production staff as needed
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to manufacturing processes and efficiency improvement

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field) required
5+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment
Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, including but not limited to machining, assembly, automation, and materials handling
Demonstrated ability to identify areas of inefficiency and cost within manufacturing processes and implement effective solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and methodologies is highly desirable
