    Job Summary

    Under the general supervision of AGM, supervises and directs accounting staff, including monitoring and evaluating work performance, assisting with more complex or unusual problems, delegating work task responsibilities, and providing training and direction; these are done using considerable initiative by performing the duties listed below.

    Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

    Meets accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions. Approves cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices and authorizing checks.

    Supports yearly audit by providing information and answers to auditors.

    Verifies employee expense reports by verifying coverage and costs.

    Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

    Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Promotes the efficient, timely and accurate functioning of general accounting and accounts payable, including freight bills and utility bills.

    Ensures accurate and timely accounts payable entry and payment.

    Performs various Fixed Assets transactions including weekly duties, such as processes for purchases, retired, and transferred, and monthly/quarterly duties.

    Enters into SAGE, our ERP, all journal entries created on a monthly/quarterly/annually basis, including the reversals, and ensures the accuracy and thoroughness of the entries by working with the other verifiers.

    Monthly Affiliate billing and quarterly AP/AR reconciliation with all the affiliates via ICT (Inter Company Transaction).

    Performs various general accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and special reports, etc.

    Provide prompt and accurate communication regarding the functioning of the department.

    Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    Assists with monthly, quarterly, fiscal closes, audits, and SOX documentation.

    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

    Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Produce monthly and quarterly reports for management and headquarters, such as budgets and cash flow.

    Supervise AR collection activities.

    Education and/or Experience Desired

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting (preferred) from 4 year college or university.

    5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
