    SUMMARY:

    Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management Representative according to IATF16949 requirements, including representing the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing IATF16949 requirements.
    • Ensures that a quality system is established, implemented, and maintained according to the IATF16949 standard.
    • Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
    • Reports on the performance of the quality system to general management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
    • Acts as a change agent within the facility. Facilitates improvements in processes.
    • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
    • Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with operations management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
    • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
    • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
    • Investigates and addresses customer complaints regarding quality.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervises 4 - 8 employees in the Quality Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
