    Job Description:

    Project Geotechnical Engineer at the company will work closely with engineering geologists, under the supervision of a principal engineer, collaborating directly with our team, clients, consultants, and contractors on diverse development projects. Several main responsibilities include preparing engineering recommendations by analyzing soil composition, terrain, and related topographical and geologic data.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage geotechnical projects from concept through construction.
    • Work directly with Senior Engineer in project execution, assisting with engineering duties of various complexity.
    • Competence in project management, including project budgeting, quality control, and project scheduling.
    • Interpreting and analyzing geotechnical data to establish engineering properties of soils and materials for foundation recommendations.
    • Completing geotechnical engineering analyses, slope stability, bearing capacity, and settlement.
    • Develop and maintain clientele relationships.
    • Proficiency in team collaboration on various projects; support junior members in training/mentorship.
    • Ability to participate individually in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Assist with information and data collection to support design decisions.
    • Perform calculations and modeling to support projects.

    Education and Licensure:

    • M.S. Engineering Degree with Geotechnical emphasis,
    • Professional Engineer's License in State of Washington, or ability to obtain within 12 months.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 to 7 years relevant geotechnical engineering experience
    • Minimum 2 years project management experience

    Professional Experience in:

    o Geotechnical soil evaluation and construction observation

    o Foundation bearing, deep foundation support, soil settlement

    o Slope stability analysis

    • Ability to work outdoors in range of weather conditions, sometimes in rugged/remote field locations
    • Ability for daily travel, potential for reimbursed overnight travel (w/in Washington and northern Oregon)
    • Current and valid drivers license
