- Provides and applies advanced engineering to highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Provides and applies advanced engineering skills to highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Performs continual maintenance and provides advanced solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
- Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
- Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes
- Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
- Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Consults with executives and customers to deliver complex network solutions

- Recognized as an industry leader in network engineering What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Active Secret clearance
- History of working in a Cisco environment
- Master's Degree and 15+ years of experience or 17 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must meet the certification requirement of DoD Directive and M
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher - (Highly Preferred)
- Lack of valid/current certification would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for exceptional candidates with an extensive network engineering background.
