    Summary:


    The Buyer is a member of our Global Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization, supporting the development, implementation, and management of strategic suppliers to provide Powin with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance.

    The Buyer supports Powin's procurement activities and builds and leverages strong working relationships with our planning, engineering and quality teams and key suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met, as well as works towards good supplier relationships to achieve maximum advantage for Powin and our customers.


    Job Details:


    Procure goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and components for the organizationReview requisitions and place the purchase orders on timeWork with suppliers to obtain and maintain vital information, including quantities, price, availability, and delivery schedule.

    Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authorityCoordinate with vendors and Logistics regarding the delivery of goods to ensure the continuity of supply, in accordance to Contract Manufactures' production plan, and to ensure the success of the projectMaintain open purchase orders and track the purchase orders to ensure the accuracy of information and on-time deliveriesMonitor supplier performance and, when appropriate, engage with suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts, agreements, and Powin's Procurement policyKeep accurate procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery info, product quality or performance, and inventoriesDiscuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with Quality, Production, suppliers, and other necessary stakeholders to determine the root cause of the issue and to take corrective action using RMA proceduresResolve discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchase ordersDispute price increases and identify cost-saving opportunities by negotiating price, delivery, and termsClear up any Procure-to
    • Pay issues, including supplier paperwork, good receipts, etc.

    Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent relevant experience3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent amount in a combination of education and experienceERP system experienceSolid understanding of inventory management techniques including safety stock, carry costs and obsolescenceAbility to work in a fast paced and dynamic environmentExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functionsExcellent time management skills, including multi-tasking, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, follow up and strong attention to detailProven negotiation skills to work with suppliers to obtain the best deals and rates for the companyStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, to work successfully with peers, other departments, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholdersStrong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teamsLimited travel requirementsBi-lingual is a plusNetSuite experience is a plusPowin is not accepting resumes from unsolicited headhunters or agencies at this time
