The Newton County Library System is looking for a Public Services Manager with strong customer service skills.

This full-time (40 hour per week) NCLS management team position reports directly to the Public Services Coordinator and is responsible for managing all daily branch operations.
The ideal candidate must be a skilled leader with proven ability to successfully handle customer interactions, train and develop staff and have solid computer/technology skills.

The schedule for this position requires regular shifts at both patron service desks with work scheduled during week days, nights and weekends. This position will work primarily at the Porter location, with additional hours at other NCLS locations, as needed.

Physical requirements of this position include the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time and the ability to do repetitive movements. Physical ability to push and pull loaded book trucks weighing up to 100 pounds, lift 25 pound book crates; and the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb. Other job requirements include experience: typing, filing, data entry, proficient use of a personal computer and other office equipment.

A Bachelors Degree or MLIS and 1-3 years previous library management experience is preferred. Valid GA Driver's License.

SALARY

• $45,000-$49,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
