    TriMet is seeking a Senior Recruiting Specialist to join our Bus Recruiting team This position provides support on one of the most critical teams in our agency and has the opportunity to truly make a difference in our community.

    This is high-volume, fast-paced work and requires excellent communication and team work.

    The Senior Recruiting Specialist is primarily responsible for providing support to recruitment functions.

    Responsibilities include processing and coordinating the flow of recruitment and new hire documents, assisting the recruiting team with interview scheduling, assisting HR staff; responding to applicants and employee inquiries; maintenance of various business processes and databases; and word processing.

    This position facilitates union new hire onboarding activities and constantly monitors for continuous improvement opportunities.

    It will assist Recruiters and Managers with recruitments with special projects as requested and regularly posts open positions to careers page and various websites weekly.

    This position requires a minimum of two (2) days per week in-person.

    Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers' experiences and of TriMet's product and service offerings.

    Essential Functions

    • Assist in the recruitment and selection process by screening and interviewing applicants. Conduct new-hire orientation and testing/assessments sessions. Participate on interview panels for entry-level positions.
    • Utilize a variety of recruiting tools to source, screen, identify and select qualified applicants for multiple open positions. Build candidate database via social media, career fairs, schools, and additional sources.
    • Support the recruitment process by conducting background, driving, and criminal records checks; preparing sourcing and recruiting documentation needed for high volume recruitment and selection, and assist with scheduling of interviews.
    • Administer the job posting process and applicant tracking system. Prepare monthly metric reports and analysis.
    • Responsible for conducting reference checks and verification of employment for entry-level, high volume recruitment activities. Including conducting work record reviews for internal applicants
    • Provide assistance to Recruiters, HR Business Partners, and HR Generalists with interview preparation including reserving conference rooms. Assistance may also include contacting and speaking to applicants via phone and email; scheduling interviews and preparing application and interview materials.
    • Provide administrative support for Recruitment, including entering and maintaining HR related databases, completing special projects as assigned, conducting research and other duties as required.
    • Preparation of Human Resources management monthly, quarterly and annual data and reports.
    • Compose, type, format, edit and proofread routine correspondence, memos, reports, forms, and other documents.
    • Organize and participate in job fairs, career events and activities which are targeted toward attracting a diverse workforce.
    • Maintain and update the agency's career web pages.
    Position Requirements
    A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

    College or business college course work in Human Resources or related field is preferred.

    A minimum of four (4) years total credited experience.

    Two (2) years experience of recruiting or other HR related experience are required.

    Or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

    *The amount of credit a candidate receives for prior years of experience is based on the relevancy of that experience to the required or preferred prerequisites of the job description. Experience is prorated based on hours worked. LRHR assigns and validates the "credited experience".

    Minimum:
    $52,876.00 or $25.42/hour


    Maximum:
    $79,312.00 or $38.13/hour

    Salary offers will be determined by a candidate's education, training and relevant experience. Any final offer of employment will fall within the range stated above.

    For transparency, we choose to list the full available grade range, however, TriMet's salary administration process will ultimately determine the final salary offered.
