    1 We are looking for individuals with a strong sense of hospitality and customer service to join our Food and Beverage team The Host/Hostess is responsible welcoming and warmly greeting all residents and/or guests on arrival to the dining room. They are the first and last interaction a guest has as they enter and leave the dining room.

    Host/Hostess Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Arrive to work at the schedule time
    • Will greet residents in a gracious and friendly manner
    • Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness
    • Escort customers to their tables
    • Take walker assisted devices to storage area as guests enter the dining room and/or are seated at their table
    • Will maintain a server rotation system for seating
    • Relay messages to Dining Managers and dining room servers as needed
    • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to come again to dine
    • Accurately record and manage reservations
    • Will seat customers according to established seating standards
    • Maintain menu cleanliness and present dining guests with menus for meal service
    • Restock table linens as needed under each POS station
    • Assist servers with resetting tables and taking guest beverage orders as needed
    • Perform all closing and opening duties as detailed by Dining Manager, including those not listed here

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Requires frequent walking, standing and lifting up to 20 lbs, bends, squats, kneels and reaching. Activity level is high.


    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Experienced and/or Entry level position with desire to learn and work in a team environment
    • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and in a systematic fashion.
    • Possesses excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
    • Possesses a sense of urgency in all tasks
    • Possesses good judgment and decision making skills.
    • Must be able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail – able to multitask
    • Possesses a commitment to quality customer service with exceptional communication and people skills
    • Possess knowledge of the principles of basic table service and etiquette.
