    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services under the supervision of
    licensed Occupational Therapists, tailored to meet the diverse needs of children in clinic
    and school settings.

    • Support the implementation of therapeutic interventions and activities designed to
    address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, and social participation.

    • Engage with children in a caring and effective manner, facilitating therapeutic activities
    that promote skill development and participation.


    • Contribute to the assessment process, helping to identify children's needs and track
    their progress over time.

    • Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive
    approach to therapy and support for each child.

    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions and progress, ensuring
    compliance with all regulatory and documentation standards.

    • Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay
    abreast of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.


    Qualifications:

    • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in New York
    state.

    • Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an
    accredited institution.

    • Strong interest and experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with a willingness to
    work in both school and clinical settings.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively
    with children, families, and team members.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, following the
    guidance of Occupational Therapists to implement therapy plans.

    • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate
    records.

    • Familiarity with modern therapy techniques and technologies (experience with
    CentralReach is a plus).
