Summary

Responsible for providing a safe work environment through supervision and support of site instrumentation and electrical systems including SCADA, PLCs, VFDs and various end devices. Partnering with Field Operations, Engineering, IT, Pump Services, and Contracted Teams will be critical to effectively supporting these systems. This position requires direct technical support of I&E systems and projects. The goal is to ensure I&E systems and teams are effectively functioning within the limits of safety, budget, time, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all company safety policies and contribute to a 'Safety First' culture.
• Provide supervisory duties and technical mentoring for technicians and contract crews.
• Oversee the commissioning standards, qualification process for I&E systems as well as develop and ensure compliance with established company safety and quality standards.
• Resolve relatively complex problems independently.
• Competent in reading, assessing and redlining P&IDs.
• Effectively communicate with I&E Manager and/or Department Managers applicable information on future and current I&E projects.
• Monitor SCADA systems and/or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware.
• Responsible for routine maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instrumentation devices for industrial process control equipment.
• Develop written procedures for instrumentation and electrical equipment repair, maintenance, and inspection.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical controls, electronic instrumentation/equipment, Oil & Gas safety, and organizational processes.
