    Summary:

    Responsible for examining, analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining the accounts and records of the company to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

    Complies and analyzes financial and non-financial information to record transactions and review/verify the accuracy of the data. Works closely with the business stakeholders, and assists in month, quarter, and year-end financial statement closings.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.

    Maintaining the company's accounting records and ensure financial statement accuracy
    Preparation of monthly JE's, including fixed asset amortization, ASC 842 accounting, benefits accrual, etc.
    Assist with the GL chart of account mapping and maintenance
    Assists with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process
    Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts to various sub-ledger
    Review intercompany accounts and ensure receivable/payable are in balance or take the necessary corrective action
    Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end schedules
    Assists with financial statements footnotes and disclosures
    Lead the monthly account reconciliation reporting process
    Research and address issues timely
    Prepares reports for both internal and external parties monthly as well as quarterly and annually by specific deadlines
    Support the SOX process for the accounting team
    Identifies ways to promote efficiency within the financial reporting process, incorporate best practices
    Other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related business administration field. Five + years previous experience in Accounting or Finance.

    Language Skills:
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Mathematical Skills Strong math aptitude is essential. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Other Skills:

    Attention to detail with the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines is critical; Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.


    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate proficiency with the following applications MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access.
