Peer Support Advocacy: Provide compassionate and non-judgmental peer support to individuals facing mental health challenges and/or addiction, fostering a sense of understanding and hope. -
Individualized Recovery Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized recovery plans, identifying goals, strengths, and resources that promote resilience and well-being. -
Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and addiction, promoting awareness and understanding through educational initiatives. -
Group Facilitation: Lead support groups and workshops to create a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, build a sense of community, and develop coping strategies. -
Resource Navigation: Assist clients in navigating and accessing community resources, mental health services, and addiction treatment options, ensuring a holistic approach to their recovery journey. - High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Must hold a PA Certified Peer Specialist Certification (CPS) OR completed the Certified Peer Specialist training program (must qualify to sit for the certification exam within 6 months of hire).
- Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen
