    **Position Overview:** Enter provider data into an integrated database system by following strict eligibility guidelines and procedures. Communicate with providers regarding required contracting and credentialing documentation. Provide excellent customer service to payor and provider phone calls and emails.

    **Essential Responsibilities:**

    Accurately interpret, compile, and enter data into IPNs integrated database system following strict eligibility guidelines and procedures within the desired two business day deadline, prepare and send provider communication for data changes and terminations.

    Ensure all contracting and credentialing documentation is in compliance with policies and procedures and present at the time of entry and ensure written documentation exists for all entries and is filed electronically according to policy.

    Properly analyze, verify, and audit database entries to ensure data integrity and accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures and perform initial review of payor update reports to ensure data and report output integrity.

    Answer and direct inbound calls providing claims, application and participation information when possible.

    Obtain mail and distribute daily and monitor fax and email queues as assigned.

    **Supporting Responsibilities:**

    Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with participating providers and team members.

    Participate in identifying and initiating corrections and enhancements to internal procedures to enhance efficiency.

    Work in coordination with Data Support Specialist II and Customer Service Representative II.

    Provide backup support as assigned.

    Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.

    Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    **Work Experience:** Minimum 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or similar position with a background involving health insurance, customer service or physician practice. Experience in a provider network environment preferred. Exceptional keyboarding proficiency required.

    **Education, Certificates, Licenses:** High school diploma or equivalent required.

    **Knowledge:** Proficient use of existing integrated provider database and understanding of the datas impact on reports, directories, inquiry screens and business success. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to successfully conclude projects by specified timeframes with minimal supervision is required.

    **Environment:** Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.
