- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Masters degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.

Summary of Duties:
The Student Services Manager for TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) will direct
and oversee the federally funded program including grant operations, fiscal management, human resource functions, and related administrative functions.
The Student Services Manager utilizes a comprehensive depth of knowledge and expertise to provide innovative service that promotes student success and retention in accordance with the grant program, the division of Academic and Student Affairs, the campus, and university.
Responsible for providing leadership and direction; planning, developing, managing, and administering program strategies; responsible for directing and controlling program operations and is accountable for the allocation of resources and program results; establish and implement short and long-term organizational goals and objectives; maintain on-going communication with funding source, WSU Tri-Cities faculty and staff; represents the university to internal and external constituents; supervise the delivery of program services which include: recruitment to the TRiO SSS and TRIO STEM SSS program, participation, advising, reporting, and evaluation of services to ensure progress and compliance in the area of student retention, academic standing of participants, and graduation of program participants; utilize working knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of federal regulations outlined in the TRiO SSS grant under the U.S.
The successful candidate will provide and execute the vision of the program to address changing social, educational, demographic and financial issues which impact service delivery to students.
