Position Summary
Assistant/Associate Professor of Sports Management is a member of the Business and Economics faculty at Utica University.
The successful candidate will teach sports business management courses, advise and mentor students in the program, assist in the development of experiential learning opportunities for students, and assist in recruitment programs.

Major Responsibilities
The sports management program as well as our other undergraduate and graduate business programs have grown significantly in the past few years.
Candidates that can teach a variety of sports management courses including, but not limited to:sports marketing, strategy in sports management, economics of sports, event planning, etc. as well as teaching in other business management areas, such as business strategy, marketing, etc. will be given particular consideration.

Education & Experience Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Applicants must have earned a M.S.
degree in sports management or sports administration, or business administration/business management/management with at least 3-5 years of relevant sports industry experience.
Previous experience of at least one semester teaching sports management courses is required.Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.
D. or Ed.
D. in Sports Administration or other specific supportive sport degree by August 2024. Evidence of experience in the successful delivery and development of experiential learning. Evidence of professional connections within the sports industry.
Minimum Skills/Abilities
Previous teaching experience and teaching effectiveness is required.
