    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Sr Data Analyst is responsible for solving organizational information systems problems and requirements by analyzing requirements, designing computer programs, recommending system controls and protocols to ensure technology aligns with the company business objectives.
    Responsibilities:
    • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
    • Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing specifications.
    • Improves systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
    • Recommends controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
    • Assists in the implementation of system modifications and expansions, new systems releases.
    • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
    • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions.
    • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
    • Works with other proprietary ERP administrators to manage our environment.
    • Maintains SQL server database changes.
    • Maintain data warehouse, reporting and SSRS
    • Provides support for technical issues, reports, upgrades, third party add-on software.
    • Creates and maintains in-house applications.
    • Conducts system testing.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
    • 5 plus years of experience in programming and systems analysis related activities.
    • Strong knowledge of documentation procedures, programming procedures and methods, operator instructions and program flow charts.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business intelligence and full understanding of the needs of the customer/stakeholder.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong knowledge of system analysis and workflow management.
    • Ability to understand complex database systems.
    • Strong understanding of business case development, modeling techniques and methods.
    • Knowledge of C, SQL, Crystal Reports, .NET, Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Software Maintenance and Process Improvement.
    • Strong MS Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Experience with SQL server database including SQL scripts, triggers, view, job, SSRS, SSIS and analyze database structure.
    • Good business acumen.
    • Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications.
    • Ability to learn and support new applications and systems.
    • Knowledge of computer/computational science, data analysis, and programming technologies, concepts and techniques.
    • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
    • Ability to make informed decisions on a wide range of complex business and technical issues.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis in order to meet deadlines and business needs.
    • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
