    Job Description

    Joint & Spine, situated in Waldwick, NJ, has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients, free from discomfort, for nearly three decades. We offer a range of services including chiropractic and physical therapy. We are currently seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator to join our expanding team.

    We are on the lookout for reliable, enthusiastic self-starters who possess a solid understanding of front desk operations in a private practice environment.

    While prior medical office experience is beneficial, we are open to training the right individual who demonstrates knowledge of insurance procedures, adept multitasking abilities, and exceptional customer service skills.

    In this role, your responsibilities will include:

    • Greeting patients and visitors warmly and professionally
    • Handling phone calls, text messages, and emails in a courteous manner
    • Checking in patients and ensuring appointment statuses are accurate
    • Checking out patients and scheduling their next appointments
    • Managing the daily schedule effectively
    • Rescheduling cancellations and no-shows promptly
    • Preparing patient charts for the next day and organizing them accordingly
    • Creating new patient charts
    • Collecting co-pays and outstanding balances
    • Updating records and maintaining patient demographics and insurance details
    • Assisting with office cleanliness and laundry
    • Monitoring front office supplies inventory
    • Generating and reviewing daily close out reports for accuracy
    • Keeping daily statistics updated
    • Performing other assigned duties

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • The ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
    • Excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues
    • Proficiency in computer usage; previous experience with electronic medical records and practice management systems
    • Experience in managing multiple phone lines
    • Outstanding customer service capabilities
    • Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail
    • Problem-solving skills

    Schedule: Monday - Friday (AM and PM shifts) with rotating Saturdays

    Experience: 1 year in a medical office setting (Preferred)

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
