    Unit Service Tech- Full-Time Nights, Float Pool Description

    Schedule: Full-time 36 hours, Nights. Mix of (3) 8-hour shifts, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am and hour shift 7:00 pm - 7:30 am. Every other weekend and holiday rotation.

    The Night Float Unit Service Technician provides a broad range of care and services to patients, including but not to limited to, EKG, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs, applying simple dressings, using aseptic technique and responding to medical emergency situations utilizing Heartsaver CPR and AED skills, patient transport and securing equipment and supplies under the supervision of Nursing Supervisor. They will provide safe accurate transportation of patients throughout the hospital. They will perform 1:1 sitting when necessary. The Night Float Unit Service Technician will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT or current Nursing Student who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent med/surgical clinical rotation.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Current Patient Care Assistant/Certified Nursing Assisant license or EMT license required.
