Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business.Your greatest work is aheadThe Health Solutions division at Leidos is looking for an entry-level System Engineer with less than 2 years of experience to support the Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) program based out of Baltimore, MD. The Jr SharePoint Developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, configuration, and support of SharePoint based application architectures in an Agile development environment.Location: Primarily remote with the ability to attend key meetings in the Baltimore, MD office.* Local candidates preferred or within a 2-hour radius. Work with system architects, network engineers, system engineers, software developers, database administrators and other system administrators to maintain/build servers and to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem analysis, and resolution of issues as they arise
Participate in all aspects of network and system operations on a daily basis including team meeting and troubleshooting calls
Will provide off hour support and will be on a 24x7 on call rotation.
Keep team leads informed of status and potential areas of concern at all times
Coordination with business and technology teams on system/software requirements
Create/update system/software documentation

Basic Qualifications / Skills:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with less than 2 - 4 years prior relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SW Engineering, or related field at an accredited college/university.
Linux administration including ssh, scp, rsync, sudo and some shell scripting
Linux monitoring/troubleshooting tools (Nagios, htop, lsof, netstat, iftop, etc.)
Implementation and troubleshooting AWS services like VPCs, EC2, S3, AWS Backups, etc.
TCP/IP protocol suite including IPv4, subnetting and TCP/UDP ports
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
Ability to create/maintain system/software diagrams/documents using various tools including MS Visio or DrawIO
Experience in evaluating solution alternatives, design and communicating recommendations to the program team
Good verbal and written communications skills
Candidates must live in the U.S. currently and for the past three (3) consecutive years.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

Ansible and AWS CloudFormation
Basic understanding of Git and Subversion repositories
Basic understanding of Cisco ASA firewalls
Knowledge of IP load balancing and network intrusion prevention devices

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48, $86,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
