    What will you be doing:

    The Customer Service Representative must be equipped with a skillset that demonstrates empathy, problem solving skills and the ability to provide appropriate solutions for customers and referral sources. The day-to-day functionality of this job involves servicing a large customer and referral base to fulfill Durable Medical Equipment needs. This individual must have patience and a willingness to go above and beyond to resolve customer / referral concerns while maintaining a positive attitude.

    - Evaluate customer medical records, treatment plans, and prescriptions to determine the required durable medical equipment (DME) and associated services.

    - Research and analyze insurance coverage policies, including deductibles, copayments, and limitations, to estimate customer out-of-pocket expenses accurately.

    - Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to gather relevant information and ensure comprehensive cost estimations.

    - Utilize healthcare billing and coding systems to collect and input data to identify and quantify medical procedures, equipment, and services for cost estimation purposes.

    - Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and reimbursement rates to adjust cost estimation methodologies accordingly.

    - Communicate effectively with customers and their families to explain cost estimates, insurance coverage details, and financial assistance options in a clear and empathetic manner.

    - Provide guidance and support to customers in navigating the healthcare financial process, including assistance with insurance claims, prior authorizations, and financial assistance applications.

    - Collaborate with insurance companies, medical billing departments, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate cost estimations.

    - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling customer information and medical records.

    - Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation processes. - Other duties as assigned.
