    Duties


    • Serves as a Supervisory Product Lead for assigned Acquisition systems and/or related acquisition programs.
    • Responsible for all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million dollar annual budget.
    • Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
    • Keeps informed of current developments in the technical field and maintains oversight of the integration of the project system with other systems.
    • Perform the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
    • Interfaces with external stakeholders such as representatives from OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, TRADOC, ASA(ALT), PEO Staff, and other commands and agencies, and private industry on all matters effecting program execution
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
    • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
    • This position requires submission of the Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
    • Business travel required up to 50% of the time.
    • One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
    • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and Key Leadership Position (KLP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement

    Must sign DD Form 2889 (CAP Service Agreement KLP) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.


    • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
    • This position requires 4 years of Acquisition Experience.
    • This position is in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 14 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13 equivalent

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-03 or GS-13)
