    About The Role

    The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will play a vital role in our perioperative care team, providing safe and effective anesthesia services for a diverse patient population. As a CRNA at Watauga Medical Center, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. Your expertise in anesthesia administration, pain management, and patient safety will be essential in delivering top-notch perioperative care. Responsibilities include:
    • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans for patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions.
    • Administer anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, while closely monitoring patient vital signs and responses.
    • Manage patient pain and comfort levels during and after procedures, adjusting anesthesia levels as necessary.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care throughout the perioperative period.
    • Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and manage potential complications, ensuring a smooth transition to the post-anesthesia care unit.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of anesthesia care, patient assessments, and interventions.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development to stay current with best practices in anesthesia care.
    Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Hiring compensation ranges from $205, $240,000.00 / annually. Benefits eligible after a 60-day waiting period.

    What You Need
    • Current and valid CRNA certification and licensure in the state of North Carolina.
    • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
    • Strong clinical skills in anesthesia administration, pain management, and patient assessment.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
    • Dedication to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
