- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical pharmacy practices consistent with the Health Systems needs and objectives.
- Provide pharmaceutical care by: active participation in multidisciplinary rounds; designing, implementing and monitoring patient-specific pharmacotherapy, including pharmacokinetic support, nutrition support and anticoagulation management; and documenting pharmaceutical care activities.
- Assist in the development of staff educational and training programs within and relating to the solid organ transplant service line.
- Actively participate in the training of staff, residents, and students from the College of Pharmacy.
- Lead drug use projects, cost reduction/management initiatives, and quality improvement activities consistent with the Health Systems needs and objectives.
- Individual or collaborative scholarly/research activity is encouraged.
- Provide drug information and education to patients and caregivers.
- Participate in UMHS committee(s) related to the care of solid organ transplant patients.
- Local and National Professional Organization Involvement is encouraged.
- A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- A certificate of completion from a specialty residency in solid organ transplant, fellowship, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is necessary.
- Experience in clinical pharmacy practice is necessary.
- Licensure as a Pharmacist by the State of Michigan is necessary.
- Possession of a state controlled substance license is necessary.

Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy Specialty Certification ( BCTXP ). Ability to perform a variety of manual dexterity movements, including keyboarding and IV preparation, actively participating in codes. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
