The Department Support Coordinator provides administrative support to the College of Humanities and Arts Departments.Key Responsibilities include answering phones, responding to inquiries, running errands across campus, distributing mail, making photocopies, assisting with department events and meetings including reserving facilities creating flyers posting/distributing flyers coordinating catering setting up for events managing RSVPs assisting with event general needs before during and after the event set-up maintenance cleanup maintaining office equipment filling paper calling service unjamming copier codes assist training office student assistants tracking hours worked creates eFaculty cases verifies completion of submission moves cases updates social media website Instagram Twitter Facebook any other social media platform used by department assists processing student forms creates faculty notification schedules attends room swap meetings Knowledge Skills Abilities ability communicate constituents professional respectful manner perform accurately frequent interruptions knowledge professional general business office procedures equipment practices good business acumen troubleshoot solve most office customer-related problems work public faculty staff students competent diplomatic open communication style knowledge English grammar spelling punctuation learn apply policies procedures verbal written sources excellent verbal written communication skills excellent customer service skills experience fully functional technical aspects work assignments thorough detailed knowledge applicable university infrastructure policies procedures handle effectively range interpersonal contacts including higher level sensitive nature perform standard business math calculate ratios percentages track financial data make simple projections thorough knowledge office systems use broader range of technology systems packages Required Qualifications Completion high school program technical/vocational program equivalents two years related office work experience combination education experience demonstrates essential functions position Preferred Qualifications Bachelor degree equivalent experience three clerical experience in-office setting maintaining files answering phones providing customer service Experience Student Administration Microsoft Office web development/maintenance Google Suite
