You willDevelop and implement programs required for operation of multi-axis CNChorizontal boring millsand manual machining equipmentValidateCNC programs inEurekaDocument set-up, operation and adjustments of manual lathesandhorizontal boring millsWrite CNC programs and verify both the accuracy and completeness of these programsSelect or design cutting tools, and program feeds and speedsto optimize tool lifeSelect or design work holding tools and fixturesUpdate existing 3D solid models, 2D CAD drawings or paper drawings to newest revisionsWrites or edits CNC programs using data from paper prints and 2D or 3D CAD dataRecommends and implements improvements to engineering design and manufacturabilityGenerates set-up sheets and standard work documentationTrain employees on CNC machining, setup and troubleshootingtodevelop consistent skill setsIdeal candidates would have the following qualifications:6 to 8 years of experience in either a tool and die shop orprecision machining center, and minimum 5 years of experience with CNC programming, including set-up, and operation of CNC machining equipment of multi-axis machinesAssociates Degree or Machinist Certification a plusMust be proficient in G-code programming, tooling selection, machine maintenance, quality inspection, blueprint reading, shop math, and the use of precision instruments including but not limited to scales,calipersand micrometersExtensive CNC program writing and editing knowledgeDemonstrated competency with 3D modeling softwarePossesses excellent working knowledge of cutting tools and fixture conceptsAble to programmanuallyif necessary, design tooling and fixtures, and interpret part drawingsAble to work extended hours as necessary to support machine shopExperience withAutoDeskInventor, CAD/CAM software experienceFamiliarity withGD&TProficiency withMicrosoft Office productsWorks well with little supervisionBenefitsPaid time offHealth insuranceDental insuranceHealthcare spending or reimbursement accounts such as HSAs or FSAsSupplemental insurance401K with employer contributionTuition reimbursementThis is a full-time position.
