- Series 3 Certification (obtainable upon hire)
- Proven experience in livestock and/or grain marketing, agricultural consulting or a similar role in the agricultural industry.
- Strong understanding of grain markets, crop and livestock production processes, and risk management strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends as it relates to grain and livestock pricing and contracting procedures.
- Self motivation, organization, planning and time management skills.
- Collaborate with farmers and agribusinesses to understand their production goals, market outlook, and risk tolerance.
- Develop personalized grain or livestock marketing plans and strategies tailored to each client's unique needs and objectives.
- Advise clients on pricing alternatives, cash and futures contracts by monitoring local basis and reviewing hedging strategies and risk management tools.
- Educate clients on industry best practices, market dynamics, and the utilization of technology in grain marketing.
- A focused and motivated consultant will have a high degree of time and travel flexibility. Having an agricultural background is preferred. Relocation is not required for this position.
