    Description

    Demonstrates expertise (understanding of technical fundamentals/practical application) in their analytical / knowledge area via in lab experimentation. Actively works with R&D business partners and / or Discipline contacts to define project needs. Develops technical plans, strategy, and resourcing proposals to meet program needs (whether as project SPOC or in-lab contributor) with limited input from manager / technical coach. Translates these interactions into in-lab experiments that solve problems, provide insights and advance projects. Recognizes and finds creative solutions to technical roadblocks using technical training and understanding of product chemistry relevant to their area. Brings internal (within/outside their technical area) and external resources to bear on problems, and seeks input as required from manager/technical coach for priorities by identifying potential issues and ramifications on timings. Demonstrates ability to work across Disciplines/functions and able to work through others.

    The ideal candidate will drive innovative scientific concepts, develop experimental ideas, and deliver high-quality data to solve critical problems and support project decisions. This role will focus on leveraging multi-omics approaches including proteomics/metabolomics/lipidomics and requires a deep understanding of LC-MS workflows.

    Job Qualifications

    Key responsibilities for the technical leader include:


    •Providing strategic guidance to project teams, focusing on identifying protein and small molecule signatures to enhance understanding of biology in areas such as skin biology, cell biology, and microbiology.


    •Contributing to the strategic development of Omics capabilities.


    •Facilitating communication among teams and external partners.


    •Creating technical reports, publications, and presentations independently.


    •Collaborating with broader teams to drive a strategic integrated vision.

    Requirements for this role include:


    •A Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in mass spectrometry, data processing and interpretation.


    •A proven track record of critical thinking and scientific achievement demonstrated through high-impact publications.


    •A solid biological background to support an integrated omics approach.


    •Experience in all aspects of proteomic/metabolomic/lipidomic analysis, from sample preparation to data interpretation.


    •Proficiency in visualizing big-omics data sets using software like Proteome Discoverer 2.1, Perseus, MaxQuant, MZmine, and XCMS.


    •Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
