- Responsible for all aspects of the month end close process.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational actual expenditures.
- Consistently analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner with oversight from the Controller.
- Collaborate in the creation of companywide budget and forecasts with oversight from the Controller and the Director of Finance & Accounting.
- Participate in all outside accounting firm's review/audit and tax activity.
- Ad hoc financial analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business requirement.
- Keep abreast of current trends and practices in the accounting field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, or related field
- Five years + of strong and progressive accounting and analysis experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, and Excel software
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems

McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking to hire a dynamic Senior Staff Accountant to join our Greenville, SC office location. The Senior Staff Accountant collaborates closely with the Controller and the Director of Finance & Accounting. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting and financial transactions. This includes actively participating in month end closing activities, account reconciliations, financial statements, various account analysis, and the preparation/review of journal entries. This position will be required to perform a wide variety of accounting work and provide opportunities for outstanding experience and exposure in different business areas. This is a hands-on position and should be a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst.
