Job summary

The Staff Accountant will report to the ITW Pro Brands Fluids North America Accounting Manager and be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting and administration functions of the accounting department to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in general ledger

This position will be based out of Division Headquarters in Tucker, GA. Participate month-end quarterly annual closing close procedures Looks ensure accuracy completeness reporting Prepare post various journal entries support month end close process review work products ensures timely completion tasks Ensure assigned balance sheet accounts reconciled monthly Conducting probing account analysis reconciliations Prepare financial statements management reports internal use Record Travel Purchasing Card expenses general ledger weekly reconcile bank transactions month end Review analyze code freight invoices Notify carriers invoice errors Reconcile inventory located outside warehouses code related invoices Participate physical inventories when necessary Report cycle count results locations week provide monthly summary Prepares monthly sales tax calculations payments QST GST sales Canada Issue credits customer deductions validate deductions adhere current contracts Review new revised updated contracts financial impact Set up new vendors ERP system Review internal controls efficiency Focus continuous improvement applying 80/20 principles drive process improvement Act integrity trust operate simplicity treat everyone respect take shared risk Performs other duties assigned Education Experience Bachelor Degree Accounting Finance Business plus years related experience CPA CMA plus Experience working information technology ERP systems Microsoft Office suite products Advanced Excel skills required Exhibit knowledge ability apply accounting principles practices accurately minimal supervision Possess transactional analysis modeling skills Trustworthy maintaining confidentiality sensitive protected matters Possess creative intuitive skills analyze improve processes procedures Possess entrepreneurial spirit willing take collaborative initiative Proficient time management prioritization skills adapt changes delays Able self-starter quick study work independently Possess strong analytical skills develop interpret quantitative information Be collaborative function team environment cross-functional areas company Professional interpersonal communication all levels company customer relationships Understand company manufacturing processes procedures Takes ownership drives positive change Excellent verbal written interpersonal communication all levels company customer relationships
