Responsibilities/Schedule:

Provide medical, surgical, and consultative care for patients requiring the service of a General Surgeon in the ED, admitted to the hospital, or at the request of another member of the staff26 work weeks per contract yearPrimary practice is located on the campus of UPMC Cole, allowing easy OR access.

Operating Room block time two days/week, emergency cases added as required, and other add-on cases as schedule permits.

Anesthesiologists are available 24/7 with a full team of CRNAsThe practice:
Established practiceTypical scope of General Surgery practice for a community hospital.

Clinic EMR is EPIC, a component of Meditech that serves the hospital (to be replaced with 2-3 years).Equipmento Laparoscopic scopes, fully equipped, ultrasound-guided capabilitieso CT Scanner on siteOther interests that may be considered/ valuable areas of interest include surgical oncology/breast (women's health center here/ doing mammography); laparoscopic procedures (such as OBGYN is going).

Qualifications:
BC/BE GENERAL SURGERYMust be qualified for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
