Duties

• You will lead a multidisciplinary project team which includes the Design Manager, Construction Manager, Contract Specialist, Project Technical Team, other Business Line representatives, Supported Command representatives, and others as appropriate.
• You will oversee design and construction for facilities and infrastructure projects to ensure project scope, schedules and budgets are managed within fiscal and regulatory expectations and constraints.
• You will present the scope at conferences/meetings and assists in the negotiation of AE fees for award of engineering contracts.
• You will advise on solutions to problems encountered during the design and construction of facilities and infrastructure.
• You will serve on Source Selection Boards and Technical Evaluation Teams for construction contracts and provide recommendations for contract awards

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing consultative services on the entire range of architectural and engineering activities for facilities construction; 2) Administering construction contracts from pre-bid to completion; 3) Reviewing, assessing, and resolving construction design issues; 4) Leading, training, or mentoring others to achieve construction engineering objectives; and 5) Applying new developments and innovations to solve construction problems that do not have standard or readily available solutions

Professional Engineering Series:
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree
To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico

OR Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in a field related to architecture that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems
OR Have a combination of college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles, methods, and techniques and their applications to the design and construction or improvement of buildings
The curriculum for a degree is in either architecture or architectural engineering and covers function, esthetics, site, structure, economics, mechanical-electrical, and other engineering problems related to the design and construction of buildings primarily (but not exclusively) intended to house human activities OR you lack a degree in architecture, but have 1 year of experience in an architect's office or in architectural work for each year short of graduation from a program of study in architecture that demonstrates that you have acquired a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional architecture
