    Position Overview:

    Assists guests with their check-ins & outs. Must repeatedly be able to transport guests' luggage, as well as other belongings weighing as much as 50 pounds. This person is knowledgeable about the property, as well as the surrounding local area enough to provide directions or make recommendations as requested. A bellman is guest centric and exceeds guest expectations.

    Department: Front Office

    Status: Part-Time/Seasonal, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

    Reports To: Guest Service Manager/Front Office Manager

    Supervision: NA

    Pay Structure: Hourly, Paid Bi-weekly.

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Escort guests to and from the room while assisting them with their luggage. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and efficiently.
    • Explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and other hotel questions.
    • Check luggage for hotel guests both for day visits and overnight stays.
    • Maintain the designated stations in the lobby, standing alert to be easily requested for valet ramp assistance.
    • Open doors while guests are being greeted in a friendly and courteous manner.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the bell stand, lobby, and baggage room. Keep lobby door and windows clean when not busy with guests.
    • Post the daily events board and entertainment board in the lobby.
    • May be asked to perform the duties of a valet on occasion.
    • Assist front desk with key inventory daily.
    • Escort guests attending a banquet reception with any assistance with belongings.
    • Greeting guests in a friendly & courteous manner while maintaining eye contact.
    • Assist guests with transportation needs.
    • Be aware of the V.I.P. and repeat guests and greet them by name.
    • Maintain an open communication line through all shifts.
    • Assists Front Desk with guest service tasks, such as, delivery of messages, faxes, amenities, valet laundry, welcome packages and other items that may need to be delivered to guests.
    • Successfully complete all other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • General Education High School GED Required
    • Able to communicate in English verbal and written.
    • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Clean driving record
    • Must be at least 18yr
