Objective:

Performs HVAC maintenance and repairs for a facility supporting cannabis operations.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains and repairs HVAC equipment; tanks, pumps, timers, valves and controls.
• Maintains and repairs air handlers and related equipment; air supply, return, motors, fans and vents.
• Maintains and repairs water related equipment and condensers; water pumps, valves, regulators and chemicals.
• Safely troubleshoot and repair all types of HVAC manufacturing and plant equipment.
• Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to plant operations.
• Work safely and follow all established plant safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate appropriately with all site management employees.
• Service, clean, inspect and repair equipment periodically following established PMs.
• Safely operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks, carts, trucks, lifts, boom lifts, etc.
• Create notifications and follow up on needed repairs and order required parts.
• Utilize problem solving techniques in interacting with other employees in resolving issues.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration tools, equipment and materials common to the trade
• Knowledge of repair, maintenance and installation techniques
• Available for emergency servicing.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
