We are working with our client Auburn Manufacturing in seeking a Quality Manager, who will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of AMIs Quality Management System in compliance with ISO requirements.
Requirements of the Quality Manager:
Associates or Bachelors in a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality assurance or quality control position
Experience or knowledge of textile manufacturing process if preferred
Proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook Exchange, and experience with ERP system preferred
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to go between locations during the course of the day.

Responsibilities of the Quality Manager:
Maintains and continuously improves the Quality Management System Compliance with current ISO9001 standards and any applicable government and customer-defined standards
Ensures compliance by updating ISO policies, procedures, manuals, forms, work instructions and flow charts, and maintains document control procedures
Serves as a resource on issues to production and customer services as it pertains to quality
Maintains and controls Corrective Action Report (CAR) and Preventative Action Report ( PAR)
Communicates with customers directly on c complaints as needed, working with customer service
Responsible for completion of AMIs annual customer survey program in cooperation with customer service
Functions as key contact for external ISO audits
Prepares Quality Steering Committee (QSC) quarterly meeting agenda and presents data and metrics
Prepares and issues Certificates of Compliance (C of C) for manufactured products to ensure customer quality requests are met
Serves as Government Contract Coordinator
Auburn Manufacturing is a locally owned and operated Maine company for 44 years. With 2 locations in Mechanics Falls and Auburn Maine. AMI is an industry leader in the manufacturing of advanced textiles for extreme-heat environments, as part of the finishing process.
