    Salary: 5140,000 – $160,000JOB SUMMARY A key NY based healthcare and insurance provider is seeking to a hire a Senior Manager Finance to be responsible for all aspects of financial operations management including, financial planning and reporting, budget preparation and management, claims management, and contract.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for staff training and supervision and overseeing a wide range of accounting, financial reporting, and analytical functions.

    Lastly, the role will provide technical expertise to all department heads while enhancing the quality of life of all of its members.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsibilities for the Senior Finance Manager will include providing close support to the Director or Finance while overseeing the monthly preparation and distribution of all financial reports, forecasts, and analysis for the company.
    • Providing revenue analyses and reviewing consolidated financial statements and cash flow monthly.
    • Supervising staff working on financial reporting, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting principles, premium billing, accounts receivable and payables, expense review and reimbursement, budget variances, and analysis.
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of current accounting processes and related information systems,
    • Identifying potential system improvements and collaborating with information technology staff to implement changes.
    • Creating financial models to compile and analyze data from numerous sources to assist in evaluation of service changes, operating trends, and other projects that require financial consideration.
    • Preparing the annual budget and department specific budgets.
    • Developing and implementing the annual financial plan to monitor overall financial performance and providing variance reporting for to the Management Team

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors (BA/BS); Master's Degree or CPA preferred.
    • Applicant must be a US Citizen.
    • 5 years plus years of experience in a relevant accounting & finance role.
    • Experience managing staff or a desire to do so.
    • Familiarity with TRICARE, Medicare, and Medicaid program policies favorable.
    • Knowledge of healthcare & insurance industry topics and claims processing concepts.
    • Understanding of managed care and health plan operations, regulatory environment, underwriting and rate setting, utilization management and accounting.
    • Knowledge GAAS, and GAAP principles including expertise in P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Cash Flows, etc.
    • Applied knowledge in utilization management techniques including various provider reimbursement methodologies including capitation
