- Review patient medical records to assess clinical history and relevant data prior to imaging.
- Perform CT procedures using standardized protocols and adjust techniques as necessary to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
- Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and physiology to optimize imaging results.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures, addressing both physical and emotional needs.
- Select and apply appropriate imaging parameters and technical factors.
- Assess image quality and prepare studies for radiologist interpretation.
- Adhere to infection control standards, including aseptic technique and universal precautions.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, recognizing and troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating service needs as appropriate.
- Requires heavy physical exertion, including frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient assistance.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Valid SCRQSA (State Certification of Radiologic Quality Standards) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Prior CT experience preferred; new graduates with clinical CT training will be considered.
