    Position Overview:

    Under the supervision of the Assistant Provost, Cooperative Education and Career Development, source new co-op employer partners, provide content for employer webpages, assess employer feedback and create labor market research reports in real time. Using demonstrated research skills, comb the internet for leads and use our CRM to capture data and keep it updated. Partner closely with the Employer Relations Specialist to create a cohesive team dedicated to increasing and maintaining the number of employers who partner with Wentworth to hire our students. Become an important part of the Operations Team, which includes the Employer Relations Specialist, an Operations Coordinator, the Associate Director of Systems, Marketing and Data and the Assistant Provost to drive operational efficiency which results in student success.

    Wentworth Institute of Technology is looking to fill a new key role in our Co-ops & Careers department to enhance outreach efforts and increase Employer engagement. This is a hybrid scheduled position, with blend of on-campus and remote work.

    Essential Duties:
    • Create strategic approach to focus on expanding Wentworth's network of employer partners.
    • Research organizations using on-line tools, networking meetings, networking and more to find and contact the appropriate people and follow up.
    • Attend networking events to represent Wentworth and our co-op program.
    • Manage WITworks system messages. WITworks is our job posting software, powered by Symplicity.
    • Create job-related reports from WITworks.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, labor market demands, and best practices in employer relations to inform strategic decision-making and program development.
    • Write and present reports to C&C team, academic leaders and faculty.
    • Work with advisors to understand our students' biggest needs to target appropriate industries.
    • Assist Associate Director to collect data for the annual career outcomes survey.
    • Update website with events, new dates and employer-focused content and assist in the writing of an employer newsletter.
    • Analyze employer feedback and recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of services and recommend improvements to enhance employer satisfaction and student outcomes.
    • Screen and review new companies and incoming job postings in WITworks for approval or rejection.
    • Reach out to organizations to have them revise job postings when needed.
    • Scrape jobs from online job boards and post these opportunities on WITworks.
    • Follow up with new organizations and set up introductory meeting.
    • Research and develop new program ideas for employer engagement.
    • Continue to develop and implement the Employer Relations Strategy Timeline.
    • If time allows, create educational workshops to teach students about labor market trends.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Requirements:
    • BA/BS or equivalent and one year demonstrated experience doing on-line research and/or managing databases.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability and willingness to collaborate, share responsibilities, troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Confidence to work with a seasoned team of professionals and eagerness to learn and grow. Comfortable to cold call prospective employer partners.
    • Sales experience desirable
