- Work on the detailed design of Capital Cost Estimates, Network Diagrams, P&ID development, Instrument List, I/O List, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Conduit & Cable Schedules, Instrument Location Plans & Details, Control Panel Layout & Wiring, Loop Sheets, Junction Box Layout & Wiring, and more
- Provide calculations and specifications necessary for the installation of instrumentation and controls, such as the diameter and size of conduits and cable trays
- Prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls such as flowmeters, gauges, transmitters, analyzers, valves, switches, sensors, and emergency systems
- Coordinate work assignments with other Department Team Leads and the Department Manager
- Participate in team meetings to discuss manpower planning, resource availability, and the status of current assignments/projects
- Participate in weekly meetings with Clients, as well as Design Review meetings which may require travel to Client offices and/or project locations
- Coordinate with necessary managers/peers to resolve manpower conflicts for the assigned projects
- Maintain timely Jobstat and Manpower updates for assigned projects
- Ensure schedules are met for your projects (potentially multiple simultaneous projects)
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Have at least 10 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls
- Show experience as a consulting engineer in the pulp/paper, wood products, specialty chemicals, oil/gas, hydrocarbon, or refinery industries
- Effectively manage time and resources
- Understand Engineering design principles and practices as spelled out in codes and standards
- Display strong leadership and communication skills
