    Compensation

    Responsibilities

    • Corporate policies/guidelines and accounting close calendar
    • Ensure accuracy of physical inventories in relation to books of record
    • Evaluate cost of sales and inventory valuation, internal and external pricing, and profitability of materials movements
    • Monthly evaluation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts relating to plant/operating unit performance, inventory valuation and balance transfers
    • Develop monthly product costing
    • Perform periodic cost modeling for new and changed materials, and periodic revaluations
    • Must have familiarity with standard costing concepts and analysis of variances generated
    • Develop and support internal performance metrics
    • Prepare reports for internal management
    • Evaluate the optimal handling of material movements
    • Coordinate obtaining business driver information from operating units and convert data into resulting financial costs and financial performance
    • Develop standards through knowledge of SAP modules and processes
    • Track and report on status and completion of approved capital budget objectives
    • Perform regular and ad-hoc evaluations of present and expected financial performance
    • Responsible for JSOX compliance on the P&L side
    • Gather, interpret and support various financial data
    • Maintain and develop internal audit team controls and evaluations to ensure operating units are performing within established guidelines
    • Must navigate through multi-faceted transactions and evaluate the appropriate disposition of results from various SAP modules

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in Business

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Knowledge of business functionality and accounting standards
    • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting and/or financial planning department
    • Familiarity with SAP
    • Experience integrating understanding of automated and manual processes
    • Experience recommending and implementing process efficiency improvements
    • Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office products
    • Extreme proficiency in Excel
    • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • High degree of accuracy and detail-orientation
    • Ability to work well in cross-functional work teams

    Preferred:

    MBA or CPA

    Conditions of Employment

    Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
