    The Opportunity:

    The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine (COM) is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Director, Continuous Professional Development position. This position will provide leadership in collaboration with the Director to maintain national ACCME accreditation, develop and enhance continuous professional development programs, and create robust program evaluation systems to inform continuous quality improvement aimed at fostering faculty excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    • In collaboration with the Director, lead, manage, and execute the ACCME re-accreditation process with adherence to national guidelines - including completion of a comprehensive self-study report and performance in practice reports.
    • Develop, administer, and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires, and statistics and prepare reports to inform continuous quality improvement processes for ACCME accreditation and faculty development programs.
    • Assist the Director and Medical Director to advance offerings of the CTCP virtually and in person. Responsibilities include analysis and reporting of outcome data to the Clinical Teaching Advisory Committee.
    • Create and maintain a business development plan for identifying and supporting revenue-generating activities (including faculty-initiated, off-site, or virtual events).
    • Identify relevant financial relationships and establish the resolution of any potential conflict of interest (COI) to ensure independence from ACCME-defined ineligible companies and uphold the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence.
    • Assure regular updates of activity and program data to the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS), including attendance; professional practice gaps; educational needs; and changes in competence, performance, and/or patient outcomes.
    • Assure ACCME standards are met with respect to CPD online enduring materials.
    • Collaborate with Lake Nona Hospital, UCF Health, Nemours Children's Hospital, and Orlando VAMC leadership to develop co-presented grand rounds.
    • Collaborate and build relationships to establish an inter-professional CPD program with UCF's clinical partners and the Academic Health Science Center (AHSC) programs.
    • Represent COM CPD on the UCF AHSC education committee.
    • Represent COM on the main campus Continuing Education Advisory Committee.
    • Collaborate to identify opportunities to capture professional development activities in the new faculty dossier system (Interfolio).
    • Research and analyze relevant literature and other benchmark information in order to develop new program ideas and propose program changes.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience with at least 1+ year(s) of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to present information about the CPD program, write effectively, and communicate well.
    • Ability to analyze and achieve logical conclusions promptly.
    • Proven ability to grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
    • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a variety of constituencies including administrators, students, and faculty.
    • Proficiency in researching, analyzing, and interpreting diverse information from a wide range of sources.
