    SUMMARY:
    Under the leadership of the Area Manager, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work closely with shop floor employees, Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production Planners ensuring our manufacturing processes are safe and efficient

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

    Evaluates current manufacturing processes and implements improvements by designing, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, conferring with equipment vendors, and soliciting input from operators.

    Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout Assist in implementing continuous improvement modifications of existing processes or equipment Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers reviewing routings for content and correctness, making corrections or updates as appropriate Assist in further creating of SOPs that align with current departmental training matrixes.

    Other duties, learning objectives and projects as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Able to multi-task, organize, and prioritize - a self-starter mentality.
    Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills.

    Great attention to detail and possess poise, a strong work ethic, and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner while having fun and generating the required results.

    Proficient in MS Office, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word and OutlookCORE COMPETENCIES:
