    The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer supports troubleshooting, repairs, selection, and optimization to enhance equipment availability and reliability.

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ø Be a member of the site Rotating Equipment Reliability team acting as an expert regarding the selection, installation, operations and maintenance of gearboxes, compressors, pumps, mechanical seals, turbines, and motors.

    Ø Oversees the lifecycle management of assigned rotating equipment, ensuring reliability through consistent strategy application, developing inspection and overhaul plans, and guiding repair methods.

    Ø Partner with the maintenance and operating teams; create plans to inspect, overhaul, and repair rotating equipment to keep it performing well and reliable for its entire lifespan. Support equipment turnarounds.

    Ø Assist in spare parts review to ensure equipment maintainability and parts availability.

    Ø Recommend projects to enhance overall plant reliability, develop cost justifications, and participate in the initial project designs (FEED), including specification of rotating equipment.

    Ø Use predictive technology; Conduct analysis of inspection and vibration reports to identify improvement areas, establish safe operating limits, and support for equipment troubleshooting and repairs.

    Ø Parter with the Process Safety team participating in the PSM program to ensure Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance in line with OSHA standards; Complete MOC forms and actively participating in PHAs.

    Ø Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and track corrective actions for resolution.

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

    v BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    v Experience in a high-risk industry such as refining, paper manufacturing, petrochemical, or chemical processing. This could include only a co-op experience if you worked with rotating equipment.

    v 1 year & near entry level qualifies at the bottom of the salary range plus 15% bonus target.

    v 10+ years' relevant experience qualifies closer to the top of the range + 20% bonus target.

    v Knowledge of Gearboxes, Compressors, Pumps, Mechanical Seals, turbines, and motors.

    v Best with knowledge API 670 Machinery Protection Systems (Bently Nevada) and experience using portable vibration data collection.
