    Description

    Position Summary:

  • Plans, organizes and directs the bad debt process for Salina Regional Medical Group under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Claims Manager. This includes checking demographics, insurance and verifying accuracy of payments and adjustments posted to patient accounts. Functions of this position may include filing insurance claims, insurance follow-up, collection/disposition of patient accounts and review of credit balances for refunds with high attention to details and with an understanding of payer rules and regulations. Is able to work independently with a work-focused attitude to meet weekly deadlines. Ensures appropriate procedures are in place and followed to safeguard the privacy, security and confidentiality of protected health information, SRHC's Compliance Program.

  • Minimum Education High School or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience Previous billing; accounting; credit and collection; customer service or related experience preferred
