    Licensed Medication Aide

    English Meadows Senior Living is a locally owned company providing excellent care to our wonderful Residents. We are passionate about assisted living and ensure each of our Caregivers look forward to the day just as much as our Residents at our communities.

    We are looking for a compassionate and caring Registered Medication Aide to provide essential services to our Residents. The RMA is responsible for the safe and secure delivery of medication and health related items within the community.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Adheres to practices in accordance with the regulations of the state
    • Documents in the communication log and shower schedule for information and changes
    • Assists Residents with ADL, environmental orientation, vital signs, first aide and wound care
    • Communicates with outside health professionals
    • Practices good infection control and universal precautions
    • Uses EMAR system
    • Orders, stores, and assists with medication according to current physician orders and community Policies
    • Performs medication pass as needed/required
    • Assists with Resident care, Resident meals, move-outs, and move-ins as needed
    • Observed and communicates any changes in Resident physical or mental condition
    • Completes incident reports as needed
    • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of nurse station
    • Assists with training of new members
    • Supervises and monitors Resident Assistants
    • Maintain service plans
    • Makes sure that medication cart is properly organized and stocked for next shift
    • Maintains clean comfortable and safe environment for Residents and team members
    • Answer and responds to call lights and alarms
    • Knows and follows emergency procedures
    • Performs duties assigned by RCC or Administrator
    • Must attend/complete trainings posted to meet DSS regulations
    • Keeps Resident information confidential; respects Resident rights; respects privacy

    Job Qualifications:

    • Must be certified as a Registered Medication Aide
    • Must meet requirements imposed by the licensing authorities
    • Great communication / interpersonal skills
    • Must pass a background check
    • Must have a reliable mode of transportation
    • Documented TB Screening
    • Must have or complete CPR/1staide training within first 60 days of employment
    • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record
    • Self-Starter and requires minimal supervision
    • Essential functions include but are not limited to standing, walking, lifting, bending, etc.
    • Reliable, calm, and willing to serve others.
