- Provide paralegal support for the Soldiers' Medical Evaluation Board Counsel (SMEBC) and legal services to Soldiers undergoing disability processing and medical evaluation boards (MEB).
- Interview and counsel clients, medical personnel, and other agencies who are working with the service member.
- Conduct legal analysis for attorney's to prepare for legal opinions, legal memoranda, and briefs.
- Provide paralegal support to assigned attorneys providing legal services to service members.
- Prepare contents of legal documents such as witness requests, appeals, powers of attorney, affidavits, etc.
- Collect detailed statistical and informational data for continuous external reports.

About the Position: Provides paralegal and administrative assistance to the Office of Soldiers Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) Counsel who provide legal services to eligible clients who are active duty and retired members of the military services and their families, including counseling during the medical evaluation board process and representation during the entire Physical Disability Evaluation System Process (PDES).
