    Description

    Job Summary:
    Train team members in assembling and installing sub-assembly components for commercial HVAC products. Duties are performed on an assembly line, ensuring safe and timely completion in line with codes and quality standards. Serve as the primary contact for line issues.


    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensures unit standards for quality and productivity.
    • Checks proper assembly and installation of each unit and parts (i

    e, depending on assignment:

    proper installment of EVAP coils/compressors proper assembly of bases/posts, filter racks, blowers, condensers, control board; all motors are proper voltage; all brazing procedures are followed; correct charging of unit and charging procedures are followed; etc.)



    • Trains team members on assembling and installing sub-assembly components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
    • Keeps and maintains up-to-date information on unit schedules and assembly/quality procedures.
    • Schedules production time to meet targets.
    • Prints and verifies correctness of work order packets.
    • Confirms availability of necessary parts (i

    e, depending on assignment:
    sensors, valves, switches, motors, economizer assembly parts, controllers, relays, contactors, fuses, filters, doors, roof panels, etc.)

    • Approves paperwork for sub-assemblies and end-of-line checks (blower assembly, condensers, wiring, copper, assembly and wiring of economizer, final wire, HXC, power exhaust assembly, pre-wire). For end of line, check all paperwork and ensure all areas have been signed off by all QTLs.
    • Stays updated on assembly procedures and equipment.
    • Enforces warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
    • Inspects blueprints and assembly drawings.
    • Communicates effectively with management and team.
    • Monitors work environments and uses hand tools.
    • Performs minor repairs and adjustments as required.
    • Provides production backup support as needed.

    • Completes AAON's Quality Team Leader (QTL) Program
    • Possesses leadership ability and motivational skills to keep employees engaged and productive.
    • Demonstrates flexibility and versatility when working with various/multiple teams and team members.
    • Provides problem-solving assistance for production and employees.
    • Builds relationships with team members.
    • Works cooperatively with others.
    • Maintains a satisfactory work attendance.
    • Works a variable work schedule as assigned.
    • Works overtime as assigned.
    • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
    Qualifications


    Education and Experience Requirements:
    18 years or older.

    High school diploma or equivalent. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
    • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
    • Assess work accuracy and quality, including color detection.
    • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language.

    Physical Demands:

    • Stand still for 95% of the time.
    • Move objects up to 25-50 pounds in all directions.
    • Navigate manufacturing facility.
    • Operate heavy equipment and tools.
    • Perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
    • Climb ladders, stairs, etc.
    • Work in various positions and tight spaces.

    Work Environment:

    • Humidity, loud noises, dirt
    • Varying and extreme temperatures (heat and cold)
    • Sheet Metal
    • Mechanical parts
    • Forklift traffic
